Set a start and finish point to find the best route — or record your GPS trail in the forest or city and navigate back along the path you walked.
Open the route sheet, pick origin and destination, and choose how you travel. Avento calculates the best path with distance, time, and step-by-step directions on the map. Prefer to explore off-road? Tap record on the map rail and save your exact track for the return journey.

Need directions between two places? Enter or tap start and finish points, select car, foot, bike, or transit, and Avento finds the best route with live distance and travel time on the map. Not every adventure follows a mapped road — record your GPS trail in the woods or city and use it as a route to find your way back.
Routes in Avento work two ways. Plan ahead: search addresses, use current location, or pick points on the map, then let routing engines calculate the optimal path with turn-by-turn steps you can follow or open in an external maps app. Save favourite routes for quick access later. Or go off the beaten path: one tap on the record button starts GPS tracking that draws your real-world trail as you move. Stop recording, tap Use as route, and navigate back along the exact path you took. On the native app, background location keeps recording alive when your screen is locked.

Avento brings your whole journey into a single timeline. Switch between calendar and list, filter by type, and tap any item to jump to it on the map. Add a flight, bus, train, hotel, itinerary, or activity in a few taps — or pick a day on the calendar and start from there.
Travel is more than flights. Avento’s Events timeline holds buses, trains, hotels, store visits, itineraries, concerts, festivals, workshops, and everything in between — in one place. Category chips let you focus on what matters. Search and sort in list view, or scan the month in calendar view. Tap a day to drill into that day’s plans. Discover offers near you on the calendar. Turn map moments into memories. Check in where you are, tap the map to save a spot, or add a photo and let Avento pull location and time from it. Mark places as visited or planned, add notes and tags, and find them again in your timeline under Places.
Mark anywhere worth remembering: a viewpoint, a café, a country you’ve entered. Drop a pin from the map, upload a photo with location baked in, or plan a future visit. Places appear in your Events timeline alongside flights and trips, and saves work offline when you need them.
Every journey is made of places — not just airports. Avento lets you remember them without friction. Check in from the map, choose a point with “Select on map,” or start from a photo with GPS in the metadata. Save territories and regions you’ve explored. Places sync into your Events timeline with the rest of your travel history, and you can save visits offline so nothing is lost when connection drops.

Voice and video calls keep your group aligned on the road. Pair a Meshtastic radio to relay plain-text messages over LoRa when you are off-grid.

Stay in sync whether you are planning at home or moving through a dead zone. Online, messages flow through Avento’s real-time chat with push notifications and CallKit on iPhone. When cellular fails, connect a standard Meshtastic device over Bluetooth in the native app, turn on mesh relay per chat, and mirror plain-text messages on the LoRa mesh. Share channel setup with one tap so your group can Apply the same private channel on their radios. Internet chat and mesh relay work together — outbound mesh sends show a badge, and inbound mesh text arrives with a Via mesh indicator.

Search closes other sheets automatically so you never fight overlapping panels. Pick a result to center the map, open details, or save a check-in — with optional offline map download for that area. Routes open in a dedicated sheet: add stops, reorder, and keep the path on your map. Recording captures your real-world track for hikes, drives, and city walks.
The map rail complements the bottom tab bar — tabs switch apps and tasks; the side rail controls the world you are looking at. Zoom controls show your current level. Filters open territory and layer options without burying them in settings. Check-in from the rail saves where you are standing on the map. Compass permission keeps heading aligned on supported devices. Every control is designed to stay out of the way until you need it.

As you travel, cards fill in: places visited from check-ins and territories, flights from your timeline, distance and hours computed from your logged journeys. Favorite airline and top category emerge from your real history — not generic placeholders.
Travel is measurable when your app remembers everything on the map. Avento turns visits and flights into a living scoreboard. Summary statistics gives the headline numbers; the comparison section puts them in context against other Avento travelers — how many countries you have touched, how far you have gone, and where you rank globally and in your country. It is motivation to explore more, and proof of how much you have already seen.
